About Melissa Lee

Once upon a time there were two little girls. One liked to read books with gifted heroines and kingdoms in peril. The other enjoyed stories about heists and private detectives. The two girls were friends and spent long hours pretending to be pirates and mermaids, enchantresses and adventurers. They drew maps of imaginary lands and created scavenger hunts that led to buried treasure.

 

When the girls grew up, they moved apart but stayed in touch. They wrote letters and swapped novels and one day, when they were much older, they decided to write a book together. Magical Ms. Melissa still enjoys sweeping fantasies that involve passionate, romantic relationships. The Mysterious Ms. Lee prefers gritty, urban mysteries and hard-boiled detective stories. 

 

​​As everyone knows, friendship involves compromise. Therefore, Melissa Lee is currently hard at work on a romantasy mystery featuring magical shifters who fall in love, solve a murder, and uncover a conspiracy that threatens shifter survival and wild spaces.
